I joined Gordon Dadds from Davenport Lyons, where I started in 1979. I have acted in numerous high profile disputes over the course of my career and have experience in all areas of commercial litigation. Some highlights of my career include acting for Sting in the 1980s in a case against Virgin Music Publishing, as well as acting for Bourne Music in a dispute with Phil Spector about ownership of his composition To Know Him is To Love Him.
Outside of work, I enjoy eating good food and going to the cinema.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Never give up.
What is your most interesting legal experience?
I’ve worked for various high profile clients but I particularly enjoyed acting for the late Douglas Adams, the author of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. He was a very funny man.
