After graduating from the National University of Galway, Ireland with a Honours Degree in Commerce I trained with John J. Quinn & Co. Solicitors in Ireland before qualifying in 2008 and moving to the UK in 2009. I joined Gordon Dadds as an Associate in 2017.
My key practice areas include Commercial Landlord & Tenant disputes, Residential Landlord & Tenant disputes, Enfranchisement, Party Wall disputes and land related property disputes, such as boundary disputes, restrictive covenants, easements, adverse possession, trespass and nuisance claims. I also deal with general commercial disputes including contractual and professional negligence claims.
I am a big sports fan but particularly rugby, football and Gaelic Football which I play in Cardiff for Cardiff Colmcilles GFC.
What is your most rewarding client experience?
I recently successfully defended a claim against my clients in relation to a right of way brought by a developer which if successful would have caused severe disruption and damage to my client’s property. To achieve a positive result for my clients was very rewarding, the claim understandably had caused them a lot of stress and worry.
Which living person do you most admire?
As a rugby fan I must say that I am a huge fan of Paul O’Connell (like every other Irish fan). He had such a massive impact as captain on every team he played for including the Lions. He had very high standards, pushed his team to achieve them and they were more than willing to follow. Despite his fame he has always remained a humble down to earth guy who is a great role model for kids today. A legend of the game!
