I am the Head of Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution in the Cardiff office. I specialise in contentious probate including Inheritance Act claims and Court of Protection applications/trust disputes, property disputes including agricultural, commercial and residential litigation, professional negligence, contractual and company disputes. I also have extensive experience of High Court and County Court proceedings together with mediation, arbitration, adjudication and other alternative dispute resolution procedures.
I act for both commercial and individual clients in a broad range of business sectors and have also provided in house and external training to clients on various issues including case updates and how to manage issues arising from the management of clients’ property portfolios.
I qualified as a solicitor in 1987 having trained with Francis Charnley. Following qualification, I joined Russell Jones and Walker (now Slater & Gordon) in London as a first year. I was promoted to partner in 1994 and subsequently moved to the Cardiff office in 2000. From 2003 I worked as an Associate in the Real Estate Litigation department at Eversheds before joining Thomas Simon in 2009 and Gordon Dadds in 2018; following the firm’s merger with Thomas Simon.
I qualified in 1987 and trained with Russell Jones and Walker, where I remained upon qualification and became a partner in 1994, before leaving to work as a Consultant in the Cardiff office in 2000. From 2003 I worked as an Associate at Eversheds before joining Thomas Simon in 2009 and Gordon Dadds in 2018 following the firms merger with Thomas Simon.
I am a member of the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists.
