I joined Gordon Dadds in April 2014 as a Chartered Legal Executive. I specialise in both Property Litigation and Licensing matters. I began my legal career at Thomas Eggar Solicitors, before working at both Jeffrey Green Russell and Davenport Lyons. During this time, I have gained wide expertise in landlord and tenant matters and alcohol and entertainment licensing. My clients are diverse in that they range from large property owning companies, managing agents and individuals to restaurants, bars, clubs and hotels.
Outside of the office, I enjoy running, attending body combat classes, reading, going to the theatre and travelling.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is understanding client needs, building long term working relationships with them and achieving desired results. I work with various large property owning companies who have remained loyal and showed support throughout my career. I also work with large restaurant chains and enjoy the varied and continuous licensing work I do for them.
What is your best legal anecdote?
Throughout my career I have heard many reasons as to why tenants have not been able to pay their rent. One that sticks to mind is when a tenant stated he had not been able to pay his rent due to the fact that his mother had passed away. The following day, the tenant’s mother attended at my client’s offices and paid the arrears!
