I qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in November 2010. I am a specialised lawyer in Property Litigation and Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing, dividing my time evenly between each practice area. My clients are diverse and range from large property owning companies, managing agents, individual Landlords and Tenants to hotels, retail businesses, private members clubs, nightclubs and restaurants. I provide a pragmatic, positive and energetic approach to matters and advise clients on the options available and most suitable to their desired outcome. I am also a tutor for the personal licence course, the candidates of which currently have a 100% success pass rate.
Outside of the office, I enjoy running, attending body combat classes, reading, going to the theatre and travelling.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is understanding client needs, building long term working relationships with them and achieving desired results. I work with various large property owning companies who have remained loyal and showed support throughout my career. I also work with large restaurant chains and enjoy the varied and continuous licensing work I do for them.
What is your best legal anecdote?
Throughout my career I have heard many reasons as to why tenants have not been able to pay their rent. One that sticks to mind is when a tenant stated he had not been able to pay his rent due to the fact that his mother had passed away. The following day, the tenant’s mother attended at my client’s offices and paid the arrears!
