I joined Gordon Dadds as a trainee solicitor, qualifying into the corporate department in 2016. I act on a range of corporate and commercial matters, including private M&A, private equity, joint ventures, commercial agreements, company law and other business law and regulation.
Outside of work I enjoy playing sport and travelling. I am a keen runner and completed the London Marathon for the third time in April 2016.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like the international aspect of my work, and I enjoy meeting and working with new people, both clients and lawyers, from all across the word.
What is your career highlight?
In 2016, I was one of 47 international participants of the Academy run by the Center for American and International Law (CAIL) in Dallas Texas. This six week programme provided lawyers from 24 countries outside the US an opportunity to learn about the American legal system. We received lectures from some of the best law professors in the country from institutions such as Harvard, NYU and George Washington University. It included participation in the annual symposium for Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law and the Institute for Transnational Arbitration as well as various workshops and networking opportunities with non US and US firms. After the Academy, I also spent time at Jackson Walker LLP in their Dallas and Houston offices as a visiting attorney.
