Before joining Gordon Dadds in 2014 as a consultant, I was a partner at Davenport Lyons and previously worked at firms such as Nicholson Graham and Jones, as well as in-house at a record label. I have had extensive experience in media and entertainment law, intellectual property and commercial law. Career highlights include acting for Warner Music Group on its divestment of certain recorded music assets.
Outside of work, I am passionate about charitable work. As a trustee of Versus Cancer, I have helped to put on fundraising gigs with major musicians including Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher and New Order.
What are you most passionate about (professionally)?
Two of my greatest passions are music and charity, and it’s been particularly rewarding when I’ve managed to combine the two through fundraising events. Making a difference in some small way is something I try to aim for.
What is your best legal anecdote?
I once took over a particularly frosty negotiation; as it turned out, my predecessor had jumped over the table and punched the opposing lawyer for saying she was wrong on a commercial point!
