After studying at both Liverpool University and the Sorbonne University in Paris, I qualified as a solicitor in 1969. I subsequently joined Edward Lewis & Co Solicitors who merged with Bevan Ashford Solicitors where I was the Senior Partner in Cardiff. I then founded and became Senior Partner of MLM Cartwright Solicitors. I subsequently joined Gordon Dadds in 2014 where I specialise in commercial and residential property, in sales, acquisitions and leasing.
Outside of work my main interests are literature, politics (I am a former Cardiff City Councillor and Conservative party treasurer for Wales) music of all sorts, wine, France, and motorcars. I enjoy spending time with my family, and I have two grandchildren.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
