I have enjoyed a successful career as a commercial lawyer for the majority of my working life. I now handle wills and probate.
I was articled to Herbert Shibko of Athan Morgan & Shibko of Cardiff for 5 years before joining Alwyn John of Aberdare and later returning to Athan Morgan & Shiblko, as a partner in 1961. In 1965, I became a partner at Myer Cohen & Co, before leaving in the early 1970s to become a partner at Russell Jenkins & Simon. I later established the firm of Simon North & Nam in 1985, where I have remained until 1992 when I set up a partnership with my son Paul under the name of Simon & Simon. In 2003, I joined Thomas Simon’s predecessor practice, Thomas Graham and was transferred to Thomas Simon in 2007, before joining Gordon Dadds in 2018.
I became the President of Pontypridd RFC in 1974 and held this position for 30 years. I used to be a member of the Welsh Rugby Union and the International Rugby Board and have previously chaired the Under 21 Committee.
